\n About the World Telecommunication\/Information and Communication Technology Policy Forum<\/strong> <\/h2>\n

\n Rapid advances in technology are raising complex policy questions for every country and sector. From connectivity and infrastructure to emerging technologies and innovation ecosystems, governments and stakeholders worldwide are navigating how telecommunication and ICT policy should evolve in an increasingly connected world.

Established in 1994, the World Telecommunication\/ICT Policy Forum (WTPF) provides a unique global platform for these conversations.<\/strong>

It brings together governments, industry, academia, civil society and the technical community to exchange perspectives, explore emerging policy issues, and contribute to shaping international dialogue on the future of telecommunication and ICT policy.

WTPF is designed as a forum for open dialogue<\/strong>, enabling stakeholders from across the global technology ecosystem to share insights and help inform international policy discussions. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

\n Objective <\/h3>\n

\n The purpose of WTPF is to provide a venue for exchanging views and information, creating a shared vision among policy-makers worldwide<\/strong> on challenges and opportunities arising from new and emerging telecommunication\/ICT services and technologies.

WTPF does not produce prescriptive regulatory outcomes.
Instead, the Forum adopts<\/strong> non-binding opinions by consensus<\/strong>. These opinions may then be considered by Member States, Sector Members and relevant ITU meetings. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

\n Previous WTPFs <\/h3>\n

\n The World Telecommunication\/ICT Policy Forum was originally established by the Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (Kyoto, 1994)<\/strong>.
