It provides an opportunity for all stakeholders and concerned parties to provide meaningful input and feedback on the draft reports, which is then discussed during the IEG meetings.<br>This consultation is open to everyone \u2013 including the IEG-WTPF-26 experts, individuals, organizations, academia, industry representatives, the technical community, and civil society.<\/p>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Participate in the Consultation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p>This consultation on the third draft of the Secretary-General&#8217;s report to WTPF-26 is open to everyone &#8211; including the IEG-WTPF-26 experts, individuals, organizations, academia, industry representatives, the technical community, and civil society. You can contribute your views and feedback on the report in three simple steps:<\/p>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/md\/S24-WTPF26PREP-R-0003\/en\" rel=\"noopener\">Third Draft Report<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Submit your comments through our online consultation <a href=\"\/2026\/consultations\/form-march-2025\/\">form <\/a><\/li>\n<\/div><\/ol>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p>When submitting your comments, you can:<\/p>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Provide general feedback on the report<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Comment on specific sections<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Attach supporting documents (optional)<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p><strong>Deadline<\/strong>: All submissions must be received by June 16 2025<\/p>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Background<\/h2>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p>Pursuant to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/council\/Documents\/basic-texts-2023\/RES-002-E.pdf\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Resolution 2 (Rev. Bucharest, 2022)<\/a>, the 2024&nbsp;session of ITU Council decided through&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/md\/S24-CL-C-0136\/en\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Decision 641<\/a>&nbsp;that the seventh&nbsp;WTPF will be convened &nbsp;in 2026&nbsp;(WTPF-26) on the following theme:<br><br><strong>&nbsp;\u201cAccelerating an inclusive, sustainable, resilient, and innovative digital future<\/strong>: In this regard, the WTPF-26 will discuss opportunities, challenges, and policies to address the following:<\/p>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>bridging digital divides, particularly on gender and age as well as skills and connectivity<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>green digital transformation: climate change and environmental sustainability<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>resilience of telecommunication\/ICTs<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>space connectivity<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>strengthening ICT-centric innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preparatory Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p>In accordance with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/council\/Documents\/basic-texts-2023\/RES-002-E.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Resolution 2 (Rev. Bucharest, 2022)<\/a>, discussions at WTPF-26&nbsp;shall be based solely on a single report by the ITU Secretary-General, and contributions from participants based on that report, prepared in accordance with a procedure adopted by the Council and based on the proposals of Member States and Sector Members, and on the views of Associates, Academia and stakeholders.<br><br>The procedure for preparation of the report by the Secretary-General is set out in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/md\/S24-CL-C-0136\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Decision 641<\/a>, and &nbsp;requires the Secretary-General to convene a balanced, informal group of experts to assist in the process of preparation of the report (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/council\/Pages\/ieg-wtpf-26.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IEG-WTPF-26<\/a>).
